Winwordy (372K) for Windows 95/98/ME/2K/XP/Vista (2 Aug 08)

Click the above link to download the program, but read the next paragraph.

Winwordy is a collection of word puzzles. To do anything at all, it needs to refer to a “dictionary” (an extensive list of words). Thus you will also want to download this file (780K) and unzip it to the same directory where the program itself resides. This only has to be done once, but if you are interested in finding other dictionaries, you might start looking here or here, which is where I found the ones I have made availble.

If the program behaves strangely, there is a page of FAQ, which may help. If not, you can e-mail me at the address found in the program’s Help|About dialog box.
2 Aug 08: At the request of a user, added palindromes to the word lists. Another suggestion: the space bar can now be used to shuffle the letters when looking for anagrams or subwords.
20 Jul 08: This is the first appearance of this program, which I have been tinkering with for quite a while. I await feedback of any sort --- suggestions, bug reports, etc.
