Winplot for Windows 3.1 (262K) (7 Feb 01)

This program is incompatible with the Windows 95/98/ME/2K/XP/Vista version, meaning that neither program can open files created by the other. Although it still runs, it is no longer being supported.

Detailed introductions to the workings of Winplot (3.1) can be found here and here.

7 Feb: Fixed a bug that afflicted the tangent function in 3D windows.
1 Feb: Fixed a couple of minor glitches (which I hope no one has noticed) in the 2D program.
29 Jan: In 2D windows, shading was not being sent to the printer properly...should be ok now. I also inadvertently removed the “overlay” button from the Family dialog box, but it is now back where it belongs.
22 Jan: An observant user reported an error in the volume calculation of triangular cross-sections ... I just put it there to see whether anyone would notice (ha ha)
11 Jan: A number of small adjustments to the 2d program ... equations were not staying on the screen during curve-family operations; fit-window was crashing when a constant function was alone on the screen; the prev and next buttons in curve-family dialogs were misplaced.
15 Oct: The 2D segment option can now be animated, meaning that the endpoints of a segment can be defined in terms of parameters.
14 Oct: Fixed a minor bug that was afflicting the display in the 2D integration demo. Also enabled Ctrl+Tab for cycling through open Winplot windows.
22 Sept: Fixed a bug that was preventing all three axes from showing when 3D graphs were copied to the clipboard.
9 Sept: Printing in landscape format now enabled.
7 Sept: In 2D windows, repaired small bug in polar-coordinate grid, and modified rectangular grid so that it can be restricted to first quadrant.
14 Aug: Fixed random-number function, and also added derivatives for products and iterated functions.
15 Jul: The factorial function (!) had stopped working. It should be ok now.
30 Apr: Attended to a memory leak in 3D Winplot, and fixed a point-plotting bug in the 2D trace dialog box.
17 Apr: Added a segment-drawing option to 2D Winplot.
14 Mar: I think I fixed some memory problems with tubular surfaces in 3D windows.
6 Mar: The autopilot routines in the 3D family dialog were hanging up, but that should be ok now. You can also now calibrate the scrollbars in dialogs that use them.
