Big Sam hails from Swampscott, MA where he played football and lacrosse for Swampscott HS prior to his PG year at Exeter. Sam's size, athleticism, and stick skills attracted college coaches at many levels, and Sam decided upon the DI program at VMI for his future. Sam should do extremely well working with Sam Gardner and Matt Callahan as starting defenders this season, and the increase in competition from the North Shore to prep DI will surely make Sam even better then he already is.
