Sam was the only 9th grader on the 2006 team last season, and he is expected to among the top defenders for Exeter this year. He is a big and rugged player who has surprising quickness and stickwork for a guy his size. Sam was a 2-way starting player for the football team in the fall and also wrestled in the winter. He will certainly be a key player for Exeter this season as only a 10th grader. He has a great stick, and is an offensive threat when on the other side of the field.
