Seven Exeter Alumni Participating in the 2004 NCAA Championships

As of Wednesday, May 19th, Middlebury and Nazareth are in the semi-finals as a result of their wins over Stevens Tech and Cortland St respectively. W&L fell to Salisbury and was eliminated. Three Exeter alumni remain alive in their quest for an NCAA DIII championship, and two alumni are still involved in the DI championship scene.

As of Monday, May 17th, only Penn and Alan Eberstein have been knocked out of the tournament. Despite Alan scoring a goal, Penn lost to the #2 ranked Navy team 11-5. Princeton, Hopkins, Middlebury, W&L, and Nazareth are all still alive and well as they each won their respective first round games.

Alan Eberstein (Exeter 2002) - Alan transferred to U Penn from Butler, and it has been a good marriage all around. Alan plays offensive midfield on either their first or second unit, and also takes some face-offs.
Andrew Sung (Exeter 2001) - Andrew is a junior midfielder at Princeton who will be playing in his 3rd straight NCAA tournament. He will run on the 3rd/4th lines.
Joe Houlder (Exeter 2002) - Sophomore at Johns Hopkins University. Joe is a reserve long pole player again this year after surprising everyone when making this #1 seeded team as a walk-on as a freshman last Fall.

Division III - Click here to see the DIII bracket
Michael Saraceni (Exeter 2000) - Michael is the leading scorer for the #2 seeded Middlebury team, an All-American in 2003, and he will be in his 4th consecutive NCAA tournament. The Panthers attempt to win their 4th DIII title in the last five years.
Gabe Wood (Exeter 2002)- Gabe is a starting long pole for Middlebury, a very defensively talented club. He is a key guy in their slide packages because of his quickness and agility.
Perrin Monroe (Exeter 2002) - Perrin is a starting defensive middie for the 8th ranked Washington & Lee Generals. They won their ODC conference to win the automatic bid, and they are favored to beat Messiah in the first round before playing the #1 seed Salisbury team in the quarter finals.
Will Tuttle (Exeter 2003) - Will is just a freshman on a very talented club that is ranked in the top five in the country. He will probably see limited action as Nazareth takes on Eastern CT in the first round before probably facing Cortland St. in the quarter finals.
