Gus became a long pole middie last year after a season as a JV midfielder, and he took to the position change nicely. Gus saw some nice minutes last year, then played for a Maine select team all summer, so his experience level has increased dramatically. He has good stick skills, improved checks, and a good sense of the game. Gus is one of seven good long poles on this year's team, so competition will be fierce as to who earns significant playing time.
