John is another young player who is making the jump from JV last year to varsity competition this year. The transition for John is even more interesting given his switch from being an attackman and one of the high scorers last year, to a close defenseman this season. He obviously has good stick handling skills from his attack experience, so John's biggest challenge will be learning the checks and positioning necessary for his new position.
