2002 Alumni Game
Exeter 11 Andover 5
Andover, MA - Exeter defeated Andover for the
4th year in the alumni game by the convincing score of 11-5. The tenacious
defense of the long poles of recent graduates Greg Donohue '01, Adam White
'01, Ben Courchesne '01, and Nick Crawford '01, as well as the senior defenseman
and most experienced Joe Cook (Marucca) '80, kept Anodver shots to a minimum.
When the Andies were able to generate a shot, goalkeepers Zach Lehman '91
and Beau Standish '97 were practically impenetrable. The Andover alumns showed
up in great numbers this year, but it was quality vs quantity that won the
day. Middie Ryan Glennon '00 dominated faceoffs and like all the short sticks
saw action at both attack and midfield. Other short sticks playing great all
over the field included Brian Byrne '95, Spencer Ford '96, Eamon Smith '96,
Goerges Dyer '96, Tom Jardine '84, and Andrew Dodwell '01. Special thanks
to honorary lacrosse alumni coach Bill Glennon, Ray Southworth, Kelly Carr,
and Lee Guntz. See Pictures
