Exeter 11  North Yarmouth Acad 4

April 9th, Exeter, NH - Exeter prevailed over a scrappy NYA team that kept the game close for much of the first half due to great NYA goalkeeping. It was a solid performance by both teams considering neither team has had much practice outside. Exeter was led in scoring by game ball winner Luke Nutting who found the nets three times, came close on a couple of other occasions, and had a great hit on a loose ball behind the goal. Other offensive standouts were Joaquin Walker with 2 goals and an assist, and Andrew Sung with a goal and 2 assists. Andrew dominated faceoffs again with great wing play by long stick middies Nick Crawford and Pat Sullivan. All the defenseman played a lot of minutes and limited NYA to few offensive opportunities. The middies controlled the ball between the restraining lines, and rookie Joe Houlder scored his first Exeter career goal on a nice shot from up top. There is much to work on, but the team is improving nicely every time they play.
