Exeter, NH, April 25th - Exeter dominated play from the start
to the finish as they defeated Pingree by the score of 14-0. Exeter was superior
in every aspect of the game, which provided a great opportunity for reserve
players to gain valuable playing experience. Exeter's offense was spread out
among 12 different scorers, with no player scoring more than 2 goals. Four
year letter winner Andrew Dodwell earned a game ball with his excellent play
from his new attack position. Andrew's two first quarter goals set the tone
of the contest as Exeter raced to a quick 5-0 lead after one period of play.
Exeter played conservative and slowed things down in the 2nd to take a 6-0
lead at halftime. Goalie Jeff Miller earned a shutout with a few excellent
saves off of the rare Pingree scoring opportunities. Everyone played a lot
of lacrosse, and worked on improving their game. Other multiple point scorers
in the game were Ryan Voccola (1 goal, 2 assists), Joaquin Walker (2 goals),
and Luke Nutting, Colin Thune, Alan Eberstein, and Wyatt Golding all with
1 goal and 1 assist. Joaquin
Walker's 2 goals moves him past Ryan Glennon into 5th place
on the Exeter All-Time Scoring List.
Joaquin's 63 career goals and 59 career assists now make him the top scoring
midfielder in Exeter history with a total of 122 points.
