Ryan has been on the varsity since his 9th grade year and is expected to be a key attackman on this year's squad. He is a quick and smart offensive player who sees the field well and knows when to give the ball up for an assist or move into position to receive a feed himself. His 12 goals and 4 assists last year put him in 7th position on the team scoring list, and he will be counted upon to improve on those totals this year. Ryan is now officially a captain, but he has acted as one of the captains of the offense whenever he has been on the field this past year. Although he does not put up big numbers for an attackman, Ryan does all the little things well that make coaches smile. He works hard in the ride, is a great ground ball man, and he has great instincts about settling the ball versus pushing towards the goal. Ryan will again be a key player in the offense for 2002.
