Exeter 21  Thayer 3

On a very cold and rainy day, the Big Red played some of their best lacrosse of the year as they dominated Thayer Academy 21-3. Michael Saraceni set the tone for the game when he fired a high hard shot into the upper corner after only twenty seconds of play. He quickly scored two more goals in the next few minutes on his way to a 4 goal, 2 assist game. Exeter roared to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter as Ryan Glennon and Andrew Sung dominated face-offs with considerable help from game ball winner Adam White. Adam and his fellow long-stick middie Nick Crawford were all over the field scooping up ground balls, checking sticks, and clearing the ball to the offensive zone. Exeter dominated the midfield play so completely, that there was little for the defense to do. Incredibly, 12 different Exeter players scored goals. Outstanding offensive performances were turned in by Luke Nutting (3 goals, 1 assist), Damien Chaviano (3 goals), and Ryan Glennon (1 goal, 3 assists). Other significant events include Wyatt Golding's first career goal, Skip Whipple's first career goal, and Peter Monroe's first goal of this season.
