Exeter 12 Tabor 5
After a slow start in the first quarter, Exeter defeated a scrappy Tabor team by a score of 12-5. Exeter created many opportunities early on, but good goalie play by Tabor and some bad breaks kept the Big Red off the score board for the entire first quarter. Meanwhile, Tabor connected on a fast break to take a 1-0 lead into the 2nd period. The 2nd quarter was all Red as Joaquin Walker and Micheal Saraceni each scored two goals to lead the offense to a 5 goal outburst. Ryan Glennon and game ball winner Andrew Sung dominated face-offs to maintain momentum for Exeter after each goal. Andrew also scored on a beautiful isolation move with only 25 seconds remaining until halftime. The third period featured two goals by Saraceni from Colin Thune feeds, but Tabor also played well in the 3rd quarter and closed the score to 7-5 heading into the 4th. The 4th quarter was all Exeter as we scored 5 unanswered goals. Meanwhile, the defense of Ben Courschesne, Greg Donohue, Will Gilmore, and goalie Brian Anand were playing excellent lacrosse as they thwarted every Tabor attempt. This was a nice win for Exeter as they prepare for the toughest part of the schedule.
