Exeter 5  St. Paul's 6  (OT)

In a very rough and physical contest, the St. Paul's lacrosse team upset the Big Red in a thrilling 6-5 overtime game. This game was close all the way, as numerous errors by Exeter kept giving the team from St. Paul's additional opportunities at the offensive end of the field. To St. Paul's credit, they played aggressively and hustled all over the field. Their defense was effective in stopping the high powered Exeter offense, as many forced and unforced mistakes for both teams kept the game low scoring. Exeter played well at the defensive end of the field with Greg Donohue, Will Gilmore, and Adam White having superior games. Unfortunately, the offense had a bad day when just a couple more goals could have sealed a victory. Brian Anand made some big saves in the 4th quarter to send it into overtime, but a loose ball was picked up in front of the goal and shot into the net for a St. Paul's sudden victory.
