Exeter 16   Pingree 10

Despite being banged up and somewhat fatigued from playing a tough game the day before, Exeter jumped all over Pingree in the opening quarter of play to take a commanding 8-0 lead. Nine different Exeter players scored goals in this game with Joaquin Walker (2 goals, 2 assists), Michael Saraceni (3 goals), and game ball winner Luke Nutting (3 goals) leading the way. Michael's third goal of the game registered his 100th point for this season as he continues to put all Exeter scoring records out of sight. He is the first Exeter lacrosse player to score 100 points in a single season. Many reserve players started to see considerable action by the 2nd quarter, and Pingree's improved play enabled them to score a few goals before the half. However, Exeter scored 4 goals in the 2nd period to essentially put the game away with a 13-3 halftime lead. The starters were able to rest most of the 2nd half while their backups played hard and did a nice job against the Pingree 1st string. While Exeter was outscored 7-3 in the 2nd half, there was strong play by Alden Kinder, Eli Colby, Matt Stolpinski, and especially game ball winner Luke Nutting. This win gives Exeter 13 wins for the season so far, and ties the 1991 (13-2) and 1999 (13-4) teams for the most wins in a single season.
