Exeter 23 NYA 6
The Big Red offensive machine picked up today where they left off last Saturday by steam rolling a young club from North Yarmouth Academy 23-6. Led by an all time single game scoring record of 6 goals and 6 assists by Michael Saraceni, Exeter completely dominated every phase of the game from the opening quarter. Also supplying considerable offense were Ryan Glennon (2 goals, 4 assists), Damien Chaviano (4 goals, 2 assists), Colin Thune (3 goals), and Alan Eberstein with a big 3 goal day. Exeter jumped off to a quick 7-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Once again, Ryan Glennon and Andrew Sung dominated face-offs with considerable help from long stick middies Adam White and Nick Crawford. When Exeter was assessed a 3-minute non-releasable stick penalty to start the 2nd quarter, the man-down defense of Greg Donohue, Ben Courchesne, Will Gilmore, Andrew Dodwell, Adam White, and goalie Brian Anand did a great job of stifling the NYA man-up offense. They yielded only one goal in that 3-minute span to choke off any hopes of NYA getting back into the game. Although Exeter lost some of their momentum in that 2nd quarter, their 9 goal outburst in the 3rd quarter put the game away.
