Tyler Williams '11 - 2011

Tyler started his Exeter career as a prep on the JV team, but even then it was apparent that he had special size and skills that would ultimately make him a force in the midfield. Playing on the varsity in a reserve capacity as a 10th grader, Tyler started to realize the potential the coaches saw in him. As an 11th grader, Tyler was a key memebr of the first midfield unit and had to take overas the primary offensive midfield weapon the last five games of the season due to Eric Slingerland's injury. He was more than up to the task and was awarded the game ball for the win over NMH that year. Not only was Tyler a force on the lacrosse field, but also a captain and key member of the soccer team. As a senior captain this spring, Tyler had the 2nd best offensive season for a midfielder in Exeter history. He scored 35 goals and 25 assists, and he always drew the opponents long pole and best midfield defender. He was a unanimous high school All-American selection, the team MVP, and also named to the Senior east-West All Star game. Tyler will continue his lacrosse career at Bowdoin College next year.
