Kirk Bansak - 2005

Kirk earned the special distinction of Academic All-American during his senior year as a result of his terrific play on the field as short stick defender, and his superior work in his studies that led to his admission to Harvard. In addition to playing soccer, and captaining winter track and lacrosse, Kirk had time to be the senior class president and a winner of the Wendy's High School Heisman Award for NH in his senior year. Kirk was all about speed. No offensive player could run around Kirk or run by him, so he frustrated many an offensive middie. Kirk was also a clearing machine for Exeter. Once the ball was in Kirk's stick, he was simply going to run it across the midfield line while leaving a lot of attackmen and opponent middies in his wake. Harvard loved Kirk's speed as well, and by his junior year, he was the starting long pole defender for the Crimson.
